L'Atelier du Grill

The restaurant dining room was poorly maintained, the service was terrible, the vegetables were overcooked, and the sirloin steak was tough. It's a shame; they really need to hire more staff. Otherwise, kudos to the grill chef for managing everything single-handedly. Good luck!

L'Atelier du Grill in Carvin was a place I loved going to until the day we received an unpleasant welcome. It's a shame they don't treat their customers well. The food is good, but the service is terrible; I wouldn't recommend it.

I appreciate the choice of starter and dessert; we always go for the meat option for the price, which I think is very good. However, the cooks should pay more attention to the hot buffet because at one point I had some vegetables (Brussels sprouts) that were a bit burnt, and all the others were the same, even the fries. In terms of taste and presentation, it wasn't great. I know the dishes might be reheated, or there might be a cooking problem. Also, the restaurant could use a little decorating refresh.

We went last night and were very disappointed. The all-you-can-eat meat option was disappointing. The starter buffet wasn't fresh, and the cold cuts were dry. The waitress didn't even know what spring beer was. One waiter arrived with a cleaning bucket while we were eating and didn't even wash his hands before serving. Frankly, very disappointed…

Disappointing, even though it's not our first time at this restaurant, but this is a complete turnaround. Upon arrival, the all-you-can-eat meat deals had been ending for a week, but the website still indicated a price increase for meat. However, they managed to raise the prices of their own deals, and the website is supposedly going to be changed (false advertising). What was particularly striking was that during service, the waiters, while waiting, took the liberty of using a cleaning cart to clean the windows. To top it all off, when customers arrived, they greeted them or cleared tables, setting new cutlery without washing their hands, and we had a clear view of this. Where is the hygiene? We want to leave; it's incomprehensible.

Excellent food, unbeatable value for money, it's a shame the staff drives customers away so much.

A complete lack of hygiene! The bar tables and chairs are dirty. The floor is also filthy. The toilets are disgusting. The food is questionable. The waitresses openly insult each other. A total lack of respect, I've never seen anything like it!

A wonderful discovery!

We came for drinks and ice cream with our three children on Saturday afternoon, May 9th. We sat down at a table by the window. After a few minutes, we noticed that people sitting near the bar were being served before us. Thinking that the waitresses who were sitting there hadn't seen us, my partner got up to ask if someone could take our order. One of the waitresses told him unprofessionally that it wasn't her turn to serve, and none of the other waitresses got up. So we left... It's a shame the service is so poor because the food is very good at a very competitive price, and the kitchen staff are much more pleasant!

We came in today for a drink, but the staff were very unpleasant and made us feel like we were bothering them... a diabolo was only half full, and they slammed the order down on the table. Excuse me, but if customers bother you, ladies, you should ask yourselves some serious questions... Last time we'll ever set foot in there!

The restaurant was very clean. The food was very good, even excellent. The waitress was very friendly and always smiling. The young man who did the grilling was also very kind and smiling. I recommend this little restaurant; you can eat there for a reasonable price and it's very pleasant.

Appalling. We arrived at 12:30 PM, and by 1:30 PM, nothing had been served. The meat—if you can even call it that—was practically nonexistent on the plate. We were told there were five different kinds of meat, but the person served everyone the same tray of meat. The dishes were empty. They didn't refill them, and when you asked for more, they practically told you to get lost. An hour after leaving, I was feeling quite ill. Furthermore, the restaurant was not very clean and was outdated. Avoid at all costs.

Honestly, waiting to be served while sitting right in front of 3 waitresses, apart from complaining, didn't even come to see me to find out what I was taking. I waited 2 minutes and well, I left without consuming anything. That's called laziness.
