La brocantine

We tried La Brocantine restaurant in Cysoing (for Father's Day) because we'd seen several reports about it that had piqued our interest... and because the Welsh rarebit is reputed to be the best in France... maybe even the world 😉... First of all, the place is charming; your eye is drawn everywhere to various objects... you want to rummage around, to find treasures... we sat on the terrace, shaded by parasols... peaceful... The menu is small, but that's a guarantee of quality with fresh, seasonal products... I ordered the "famous" Welsh rarebit, and my partner had La Cochoune. The Welsh rarebit was simply excellent, flavorful, not cloying, and aromatic... La Cochoune was a superb discovery; the meat practically fell apart... a real treat. For dessert, we both had the waffle with salted caramel ice cream... what can I say except delicious! The owners were incredibly kind, the meal was delicious, and the staff was so attentive... all of this combined makes it one of the best places we've ever tried. We will definitely be back.

A warm welcome and kindness from the entire team. The andouillette was delicious and generously portioned! The outdoor area is lovely, with its vegetable garden and herbs that ended up on our plates. Thank you again. We'll be back!

A charming little pub. I recommend the Welsh rarebit and the waffle. The homemade ice cream tastes just like it did half a century ago!

Delicious with a family atmosphere!

We were looking for a really good Welsh rarebit, and some friends recommended a place: La Brocantine! Known for making THE best Welsh rarebit, it's also a restaurant with a very interesting concept (for lovers of beautiful vintage objects). What's more, the owners, Fred and Carole, are simply wonderful. Simply put, we had one of the most unexpected and wonderful times we've ever had. It's the kind of encounter, one of those life moments you shouldn't miss; you have to savor it! Fred and Carole are adorable, welcoming, and incredibly kind. Thank you for this enriching experience, and thank you to our stomachs for your delicious food! Go there without hesitation; you won't regret it! One thing is for sure: we'll be back to eat, to drink, and to rekindle our conversations :) See you soon!

A wonderful restaurant serving some of the best Welsh rarebit! You can go there without hesitation! The only slight drawback is that the tables are very close together, and we were five people at a table for four... but this didn't spoil our lovely experience at all!
