Restaurant Crocodile

We came for lunch today (July 28, 2026), and the buffet, both for appetizers and desserts, was very well stocked! The meals were delicious; we had the mussels and fries, which were perfectly cooked! The only downside was the lack of tact from the head waiter, "Jo," who made numerous disparaging and negative remarks about the restaurant's servers (lack of social skills/professional competence... in short, if you listen to him, these young people can't do anything... especially without him... as he liked to point out to a neighboring table)! Dear "Jo" or "Mr. Me," please know that if we regularly return to the restaurant... it's not thanks to you, but thanks to the young staff who are pleasant and in no way disrespectful to the other team members! An ideal place for a reunion

Congratulations to the staff who manage everything superbly at all levels, always with a smile, especially with some demanding customers.

We hadn't been to Le Crocodile d'Englos for about ten years because the reservation system didn't suit us (two seatings on Saturday evenings, either at 7 pm or 9 or 9:30 pm... Too early or too late!) and because it was teeming with children left unattended by their parents, much to the disregard of the other customers. We finally went back this Saturday evening... First observation: it's now possible to reserve a table for the desired time slot (every 15 minutes), which is a good thing. The first table we were offered (in a train carriage) wasn't suitable (too cramped): we were able to change tables without any problem. Very few people (whereas it used to be packed) for a Saturday evening... But the problem of young children left unsupervised by their parents persisted. The result: food spilled on the floor, and constant back and forth between the tables and the buffets. A noisy carnival machine (grabber) was located near our table. Not exactly ideal! As for the meal itself, the buffets were very good, varied, and replenished quickly. The main course was quite decent (an order error was quickly rectified). The drinks were also a plus, with a special mention for the homemade (unsweetened) iced tea. The main criticism: the cleanliness of the plates and glasses at the buffets... Limescale, fingerprints, and food smears... In conclusion: the concept has aged poorly and no longer attracts crowds. For roughly the same price, you can now find buffets offering more appealing dishes, blending European and Asian cuisine. We understand the desire to attract families with an €8 children's menu (unlimited starters, desserts, and drinks), but the irresponsibility of some parents means we won't be repeating the experience, despite the staff's friendliness and helpfulness.

The restaurant has declined in quality in terms of food and menu choices, which is a shame. The service was impeccable, and the waiter was very efficient and friendly.

A first for us! After so many years of missing this fabulous restaurant, thanks to the lovely Emma, ​​we finally stepped through the doors of Le Crocodile and were welcomed by Flavian, a charming young man whose professionalism knows how to make your mouth water. Friendly, very responsive, and a pleasure to listen to, we had such a wonderful time that we wished we'd come before. We'll be back again and again!

The wait was a bit long because it was very busy, but once our order was taken, we had to call the server back to speed things up. After that, everything went smoothly. We even got hot fries when we asked. They could use a few more staff to speed up the service.

Excellent service. The quality of the food is incredible. We had a very good time.
