Cafétéria Wattignies

A pleasant cafeteria; while visiting the region, we went for lunch and had a very good meal, with very generous portions.

It's a shame it's closed in the afternoon and evening... after shopping I liked going there for a good coffee and an ice cream; there are games for children. It's a real shame.

This cafeteria is a disaster. It's going downhill fast. This past Friday, April 3rd, it took 25 minutes to get two coffees. The poor employee was left with a large pizza order and no one came to help her. The cashier was serving hot food while taking payments because there was only one person for both shifts. So much for hygiene—no washing hands after taking payments! Judging by the overall state of the place and the deterioration of some of the materials, we understand that this cafeteria won't last much longer. It's a shame because I've been coming here for several years.

I'd like to respond to the cafeteria's reply. We were there as a family that day with our children, and I can assure you there were no fries! There's no need to write in all caps that you ALWAYS have them because that's absolutely not the case! Please respect the opinions of your customers, especially regular customers. I personally asked if it wasn't possible for the kitchen staff to go and get some from the store to satisfy customers, and I was told, "No, that's not possible, because the stock management is different." In short, a standard, and typically dishonest, response. You could have simply apologized instead of responding to your loyal customer in this way.

Horrible, disgusting food, and I mean it… I tried the couscous, I didn't even eat a quarter of it, and it cost almost €12. The meatballs tasted like dish soap, the merguez sausage was dry, and the frozen vegetables were mushy… The atmosphere was gloomy, especially during the holiday season. I didn't even stay for 15 minutes. Now I understand why there were so few people there. Avoid at all costs!

The service was friendly, but as for the pizza, forget it. The dough was like cardboard, very dry. The ingredients were practically nonexistent and extremely low quality. At that price, a frozen pizza is much better and far cheaper.

The welcome was unpleasant. Sandra, the ordering lady, rushed us to make our choices, insisting several times that we choose even though there was absolutely no one behind us, the restaurant being empty. The cashier staff were also unpleasant, complaining about being forced to smile. I strongly advise against going there because of the poor service; it completely ruined my appetite, so I didn't order anything. AVOID THIS CAFETERIA AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!

Always a pleasure to have lunch in this cafeteria; the quality/price ratio is unbeatable. The welcome is warm and the food is generous. However, the somewhat dated premises could use some updating (furniture, dishes, microwave, water fountain, etc.).

The food is good and not too expensive. Isabelle is very nice.
