Van d'Helle

Lunch at Van d’Helle was a pleasant surprise: a huge, flavorful Angus hanger steak, accompanied by perfectly crispy homemade fries. The atmosphere is more that of a quiet bistro than a bustling restaurant. That lunchtime (a Monday, probably their first day open), there was quite a wait, but frankly, it was worth it. A place to remember for the quality and generous portions.

I went for a leaving party and was very disappointed by the food.

Very disappointed with the service! The wait was far too long even though the restaurant was nearly empty, and the steak tartare was really unappetizing!! I will never go back!

I don't understand the erratic opening hours; I'm completely confused. And let's not even talk about the food, which isn't exactly appetizing, but waiting over an hour to be served is just too much. The atmosphere used to be much nicer.

Disappointed, no menu on the tables, unpleasant waitress, not a smile! Very cold. I wanted to order a cappuccino, she told me she wasn't making them that afternoon because she was too busy, so she'd stopped offering drinks that took too long. So I didn't order anything, which I think is a shame!
